OVEN: 375 Degrees Fahrenheit SERVES: 24 Cookies
This recipe is a great activity. Especially now that we're stuck at home. :) Super simple and fun to make, these cookie bars make a delicious treat! They're good by themselves or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

- 2 1/2 cups unsifted flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter (margarine) softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 12 oz. chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
- In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In large bowl combine butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla. Beat in eggs
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts until desired amount
- Drop into greased 9" x 13" pan and spread out. If crumbly, use wax paper to press down and smooth.
- Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes. (24 works perfect for me)
