How to Draw Closer to God Everyday | Christian Summer Series part 1
Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. ~ Jeremiah 33:3
Go ahead, get outside. A great way to connect with God is to pray on a walk, or in a good environment in general. Speaking of that........
Now, sometimes, this can feel like a task or a chore. But God gave us the Bible for a reason, and he only wants you to enjoy it. You can either memorize scripture, or read around in different books. Psalms is a great place to start if you are simply looking to enjoy the Bible.
Hey people! I'm back! Today we'll be looking at 6 ways to draw closer to God at any moment. So, in no particular order, here are 6 ways to get close to God.
1. Go for a Walk
Go ahead, get outside. A great way to connect with God is to pray on a walk, or in a good environment in general. Speaking of that........2. Enjoy His Creation
Just looking and enjoying everything in nature around you is a truly beautiful experience. Just sit there and bask in the idea that your faithful father made all this.
3. Write your Prayers down
Write down your prayers for yourself and others in a designated prayer notebook. This allows you to look back later, and find all the prayers that have been answered. :)
4. Worship
Turn on some of your favorite worship tunes, and sit in the presence of your Lord and Savior, and really think about the lyrics of the songs. Feel free to throw a solo concert if you want!
5. Read your Bible
Now, sometimes, this can feel like a task or a chore. But God gave us the Bible for a reason, and he only wants you to enjoy it. You can either memorize scripture, or read around in different books. Psalms is a great place to start if you are simply looking to enjoy the Bible.6. Journal
Journal about all the things on your mind, all your worries, hopes, and dreams. Journal about what God has been telling you, and what you've learned recently.
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. ~ James 4:8
