The Perfect Morning Routine for the Most Perfect Day

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. ~ Lamentations 3:22-23

Mornings are something that are always overlooked. People slouch out of bed without a care in the world. They let the morning drone on, moving through their day, not caring how it starts or ends. If you're having trouble staying productive, or leaving your bedroom in a bad mood/bad mindset, you're obviously NOT starting your day correctly. Even if you planning to have a lazy day, you have that choice every morning, happy? Not happy. Good mood? Bad mood. And on those days when you want to do nothing else then stay in your bed forever, it seems you don't have a choice at all. But that's not the truth.

Now, listen. Choosing to be in a good mood does not mean you have to do a bunch of good stuff. You don't have to eat healthy to have a good day, don't have to clean the entire house, you don't have to BE perfect to have a perfect day. So, don't be afraid to choose to have a good day, it only means you choose to be in a good mood.

Although, it's hard to be in a good mood when you start your morning by falling
out of bed to throw on clothes and get out the door.

But all is well, because I am here to tell you how to start your morning off right, and inspire you a bit along the way.

If you're a music lover, I recommend turning on one of your favorite songs as you're waking up and making your bed. That's another thing. Make.Your.Bed. I cannot explain to you how much it helped me to start a habit of making my bed every day. It instantly transformed my room from feeling groggy, to productive. And that way, you won't "accidentally" fall back in. :) Another important step is to treat your body. Whether you take a shower in the morning or not, make sure to wash your face, brush your hair and put on a nice outfit. When you look nice, you feel nice. Journaling, reading, and praying, along with a gratitude list are also other things that are so good to start your morning with. Treat yourself to a good breakfast. Eat whatever sounds good. Remember food is fuel, so don't skip breakfast.

Now you're off to a good start! Enjoy the rest of your morning and day. And most of all, please, trust me, choose to be in a good mood. :)

P.S. I will be doing a night version of this so be on the lookout!

Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. ~ Psalm 143:8
