How to be Excited for Every Day


    Over the years I've struggled with this certain topic. I would wake up every day feeling discouraged, tired and overall dreading the "worthless" day ahead. Little did I know how stupid I was being. 

It All Starts With The Night Before:

   I would spend nights dreading the day ahead. Trying to figure out how to get it over with the fastest. I would go to bed sad and discouraged. When I finally figured it out, I was astonished. 
  •   Look at the day ahead

    Take a look at the coming day, and find something, anything, that you're at least somewhat excited for. That way, your mind is focused on the positive, and you have something to look forward to, making you excited.

  • Write down a Goal for the Day ahead  
    The night before, write down any goal you have for tomorrow. it could be, "get the mail." or "fix the hole in my sock." anything, from simple to complicated. Now, your mind is set on that goal, making you feel focused and ready to be productive
 

The Morning:
  • Start With Something you Love

    Instead of jumping into your day by forcing yourself to work, work, work, take at least five minutes to pause and do something you enjoy. that could be sitting down and reading a book, cooking yourself a nice breakfast, or going for a morning walk. whatever it is, picture it as a time to breathe and prepare yourself for the day ahead. 

  • Look For the Beauty in Everyday Things
    Whether it's the fact that the sun looks beautiful today, or that you are eating a delicious breakfast, I promise you, there's ALWAYS good in everyday. And Christmas Day? just as good as the rest. 
  • Lift Others Up

    Rather than pulling others down to lift yourself up, it actually works the other way around. try lifting others up, and bring you with them! it can be a compliment of their shoes, helping clean the dishes, or any other act of kindness can help to boost your mood and their's too! Enjoy your day!
